The Local Area

Shopping: Estepona has numerous shopping facilities and nearby Marbella offers a major shopping centre. If you are looking for designer shopping the famous port of Puerto Banus is only 20mins drive away. Spend an afternoon shopping followed by a sumptuous meal port side overlooking the lavish yachts and watching the top end cars drive by. You may even see a celebrity or two!

Looking for activities?: The area has it all with mountains, golf, water sports, sailing, surfing, water skiing, lake skiing and knee boarding all in the area. You can choose to hire boats yourself or hire a skipper and a banana boat with doughnut rings.

If you fancy complete relaxation treat yourself to some treatments at the local 5* spa hotel.

Or if you have children to entertain there are three water parks within easy reach of the villa, the closest being Bahia Park at Algeciras.

Selwo Adventure Park is a safari themed park, or you could visit Fuengirola Zoo or the Sealife centre at Benalmedena.

If you need to cool off or get a wet day try Kidz Kingdom. This large air conditioned building offers a great kids soft play area whilst the adults can enjoy a drink in the cafe. Free wifi is provided here.

An information book is provided in the villa for your use and gives directions to all of the above activities.

Fancy a drive? For a taste of the UK, visit Gibraltar (don’t forget your passports!) The centre has an impressive high street with many UK shops along with cafes/restaurants and bars to watch the world go by. Or take a trip up the rock on the cable car and get fantastic views of Africa.

The towns and villages of Mijas, Casares, Gaucin, Coin, Ojen, Mijas and Cadiz, Rhonda and Algeciras are all within a short drive. For the more adventurous you can catch a ferry from Algeciras and Tarifa to spend a day or more in Morocco.

Dining out From beach bars to restaurants the local area has it all. Popular places to eat are on the beach front of Sabinillas just a couple of minutes away, or the next marina along at Puerto de la Duquesa. Both offering cuisine from around the world with fantastic views over the Med. The larger town of Estepona has again lots to offer whether you choose the Marina or the idyllic town squares there is something for everyone.
